I have been so inspired by the production of The Chosen as it depicts the ministry of Jesus and His disciples, that I am dedicating this page and music to its creator, director and producer, Dallas Jenkins.
In particular, I was deeply affected by Season 1, Episode 1, "I have called you by name" and Season 1, Episode 7, the calling of Matthew, the tax collector and Jesus' words, "Follow Me".
His personal announcement to both Mary Magdalene and to Matthew when He called them by their name, broke through to their very souls and prompted them to leave behind everything to follow Jesus, the Messiah.
It has also touched my heart and soul deeply to create a musical composition to commemorate this experience, especially surrounding the story of the calling of Matthew. It is about that transformational moment!
May this free offering of " I Have Called You By Your Name" inspire you and touch your soul as well, as the Christ still calls and transforms the hearts and minds when He calls you by your name.

The words above represent the chorus to my new song, " I Have Called You By Your Name" They have great meaning for me as well as I feel I have also been called by my name to follow the Christ and to bring His message of love and forgiveness to all.
It is the story of Matthew's calling and through his eyes and words, but the meaning goes deeper as we all can feel and experience His calling to our hearts and souls.
We didn't choose him, he chose us
